Today is ‘specially for you! Woohoo!

Just in case you don’t get my eNewsletter: Guess what? I’m in a cat art exhibition with 35 other artists! How fun is that!

I’m feeling so lucky… my lino print has even been chosen for the invitation artwork! when I dropped off my own prints and painting, I could see the feline themed artwork beginning to gather in the big, light exhibit room.

Keen for Cats – A visual celebration of our feline friends

The exhibition is described as “A quirky, fun and entertaining mixed media exhibition of artworks by 36 South Australian artists inspired by a feline theme. This exhibition has wide appeal, from cat lovers to the general community in its depictions of big cats as well as many domestic cats. Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of artworks including paintings, jewellery, printmaking, sculptures, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, photography and more.”

Venue: Pepper St Arts Centre, 558 Magill Road, Magill, South Australia

Dates: 15 February – 20 March 2015

Open hours: Tues to Sat 12 noon – 5pm

Launch Event: Sunday 15 February, 2pm- 4pm

Launch Guest: Tim Vasudeva, Chief Executive Officer, RSPCA South Australia

At the launch event this Sunday, along with the exhibition itself and welcome by Tim Vasudeva, there’ll be:
live music by Tin Can Alley,
Artist Demonstrations in Woodwork, Painting and Printmaking,
Cat Mask Making &
Community Cat Painting Activity.
A people’s choice cat photo competition and more demonstrations will be held throughout the exhibition.
